Here is the list of 8 simple and easy ways to lose weight fast.
- Watch what you eat: The first step you have to take in changing your diet is making your own food. Yep, it sounds hard but if you think of it as hard than it will be. However, if you think of it as something that may require a little time but is not so difficult than you will be better off. The big problem that comes in with eating out a lot is you have absolutely no CONTROL of what is going into your food. A lot of restaurants can’t really help you out if you’re a health conscious person. Say you want NO salt on your food items. They may not add any salt but guess what your food will still taste salty. Want to know why? The food is shipped over long distances in trucks. Obviously, nutritional value of foods will be lost. With all of the food engineering going on they can genetically alter the food so that it can endure a long time without spoiling. They use a lot of trans fat and salt to preserve the foods. No wonder there is so much trouble with blood pressure these days. The first step you have to do to lose weight is eliminate eating out, not only will you save calories, but you will also save dollars if that is not a motivation for you.
- Eat Slowly: Do not eat fast, according to studies the mind doesn’t register that foods have entered the stomach until about 15-30 minutes later. If you eat fast than its more likely that you will over eat and feel “stuff.” The last thing you want to do while losing weight is feel “stuff.”
- Drink lots of water: You should try to aim for about eight glasses of water a day. Water is the best drink you can have. Try drinking bottled water and avoid tap water as much as possible because that will aid excess chemicals into your body. Water will also help cleanse your body out of chemicals and excess waste. Add some lemon for not only taste but to help cleanse out your internal organs as well.
- Drink Alcohol sparingly: Red wine has beneficial properties for the heart, but it should be used sparingly. That’s the only alcoholic beverage I will recommend to drink sparingly. The others should be avoided. Alcohol has a lot of empty calories so that means it gives your body a lot of calories in return for little nutrients.
- Have fruits, avoid fruit juices: When fruit is juiced it loses a lot of its nutritional value that the fruit would have when it’s whole like fiber for one. Fruit juice is usually processed and don’t contain the nutritional benefits of fruits but it contains the calorie contents of fruits so it’s an easy way to pack on extra calories.
- Eat more often: Ideally you should have about six SMALL not regular meals a day. You should eat about every 2-3 hours in order to keep your metabolism up. Ideally you will want something that doesn’t need to be re-heated. Oh, I’m big against using microwaves. One should avoid using a microwave oven and there are lot of benefits of switching from a conventional supermarket to an organic one. I will recommend the night before preparing the meals; put them in a plastic container. A meal doesn’t have to be fancy looking, as long as they are tasty, whole, and nutritious. The biggest meal should be breakfast because you will burn most of the calories throughout the day. The smallest should be dinner because you won’t have that much time to burn the meal off. Some good ideas for snacks to be included with your small meals throughout the day include:
- Chopped vegetables
- Chopped fruits
- Nuts
- Hard-boiled eggs
7. Check your activity level: A lot of people are extremely BUSY these days, and time-management isn’t all that easy but it’s a must if you plan on living a long and healthy life. Most people whether male or female gain weight as they get older because their activity level slows down drastically. That’s why there aren’t that many obese children as adults because children are usually active. However, children obesity rates are rising quickly which is unfortunate. The best thing to do is to evaluate yourself. Are you currently over-weight or out of shape? If you are do something to change it. Set goals plan to make some time 5 days a week for some exercise.
8. Have Fun: Whatever activity you chose to keep yourself active make sure that it is something you enjoy a lot. Here are some activities, everyone is different so I hope you will find something you would be interested in doing.
- Bicycling
- Dancing
- Jogging
- Skiing, cross-country
- Tennis
- Walking
- Swimming laps
- Weight lifting
- Basketball
- Racquetball
Stick to it
Make sure to write a schedule and stick to it as close as possible. If you don’t have a legitimate excuse than you are cheating your own health. It’s no real big secrets to weight-loss you just have to stick to your goals, and you will achieve them.
