1. Running/jogging – Running is by far the quickest exercise to get flat stomach. Did you ever notice the abs of any athlete? No wonder they always look so firm.
If you are doing the exercise of running the first time. It’s a good idea to walk first (a block or two) then jog a block, then run a block then jog until your body adapts to the new form of exercise and you can run further distances.
If you can run for 20 to 30 minutes 4-5 times a week you’ll start seeing results in 3-4 weeks only.

2. Interval training –  Interval training simply means changing the type and intensity of the cardiovascular exercises you are performing within the same exercise or session to session. For example, to run at a steady pace one day then do sprints the next. This strengthen your body and burn more calories in the process.

3. Aerobics classes – Aerobic exercise help our body send more blood and oxygen to the muscles. Aerobic classes are great for people that need that extra bit of motivation that an energetic instructor or other struggling class participants can give.
Aerobic classes provide both higher and lower intensity exercises. How much you stretch your arms and legs up during the exercise is how the intensity is measured. People should strech according to their level of fitness and the regularity of their aerobic sessions.

4. Bicycling –  Cycling outside as compare to a gym is beneficial and enjoyable, but if you’re a little more time restricted, invest in a good quality exercise bike. Depending upon the intensity of this exercise, that is how fast you go, this can be a great calorie burner. You can burn 500-1000 calories per hour doing cycling.

5. Swimming – Swimming not only is an amazing calorie burner but also a great way to speed up your body’s metabolic rate. Doing lengths up and down the pool for an hour will burn off 800 calories, and also tone almost all of your body

6. Stepping –  In a hectic work schedule esp. stepping is the best exercise to burn calorie and maintain your metabolism. When you make numerous trips upstairs while in the office or at home, you’ll know how much energy this exercise takes. The benefits are multi-fold: burns calories, boosts heart rate, great aerobic workout, builds leg and buttock muscles. So next time in a mall or office or wherever if time permits, avoid elevator and take the route of steps.

7. Squats – These won’t make you hate race but they will assist in building leg muscles. Squats are considered one of the toughest exercises to perform so don’t be embarrassed if you can only do one or two. Remember, building and strengthening muscles equals faster fat burning and that is the aim of squats.
